Humour: Toilet Walls of Wit

Posted in Humour by GenSephyr on May 24, 2008

Saw this pasted on a toilet wall:

He who writes on bathroom walls,
wraps his shit into little balls.
He who reads these walls of wit
is the one who eats these little balls of shit.

There are actually lots writings in that toilet.
But the one above is the only one I remembered.
Haha. I guess, even the toilets have made it to the list of entertainment places.

Oh, I almost forgot…. After that, I was talking to a friend, and the following came up:

Aim when you piss,
Look where you piss.
If you don’t do either
you will get the cleaners pissed.

Don’t think it’s as “catchy” as the one I saw, but it definitely has the theme right.. haha :-)

EOS: End Of Series (Sunday Essay)

Posted in Note To Readers (NTR) by GenSephyr on May 13, 2008

Last Sunday’s post was really the last of the Sunday History essay. So that means the history essays are now officially history. Now there is a void on the Sunday slot. Wonder what to do next. Supposed to have gave it some thought when I was in camp, but I guess I was too busy studying to think of something.

Wonder what other topics should I write on. Most of the topics I was thinking are abit hard to maintain on a regular basis due my current commitments.

For now, I guess its going off-schedule.

The Price of (the Lack of) Responsibility

Posted in Thoughts by GenSephyr on May 12, 2008

As the saying goes,

To err is human, to forgive is divine.

But I think that,

You’re forgiven when you err,
You’re forgiven when you erred again.
But if you err every time you’re given the same job,
then we have erred in forgiving you.

Responsibility comes with a price.
And the Lack of it, comes with a similar but still somewhat different price tag.

I really wonder: “Do they feel happy that their escape comes at the expense of taking down an innocent party?”…

SCAP: Post-war recovery of Japan

Posted in Essay by GenSephyr on May 11, 2008

I realized I can’t find the essay on the Occupation of Asia by Japan…
No choice.. Have to post on SCAP: Post-war recovery of Japan instead.

By the way, “SCAP” is short for “Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers”

Japan’s post war situation did not look promising. Most of her major cities lay in ruins. About 30 % of her industrial capacity, 80% of her shipping capacity and 30% of her thermal power were destroyed. Industrial production was only 10% of pre-war levels. Territories were all lost. There were food shortages and inflation. However, the Japanese accepted the…

Bolsheviks consolidated power militarily, socially, economically and politically.

Politically, they signed the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk (March 1918), which marked the withdrawal from war. Armistice between Russia and Central Powers agreed in Dec 1917 ceased hostilities. Russia suffered major losses that adversely affected its economy. It was high price to pay but this allowed time for Russia’s recovery.

Victory in Civil War (April 1918-1921) helped Bolsheviks consolidate power militarily. By April 1918, armed opposition to the Bolsheviks was erupting in many areas of Russia. Whites, consisting of SRs, Mensheviks, Cadets, ex-Tsarist officers & other opposition groups, aided by western powers wanted the fall of Bolsheviks and to set up a democratic government on Western lines. When Czech Legion captured Siberian towns and cities, it stirred the Allies into action. Foreign intervention was explained to be aiding Russian government to continue war against Germany.

Admiral Alexander Kolchak became the leader of the…
